- Remote On/Off Terminal A low-power switch or engine run/stop signal controls the unit remotely, removing the need for high-current input switching.
- Paralleling Capability An unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel to scale output current as system power demands grow.
- Adjustable Output Voltage Output is field-adjustable from 40–60V to precisely match specific 48V system voltage requirements.
- High Temperature Protection Output current automatically reduces at elevated ambient temperatures to prevent thermal damage and ensure uninterrupted operation.
The Orion-Tr 24/48-8.5A delivers 8.5A continuous output at 40°C from a 16–35VDC input, stepping voltage up to a nominal 48.2VDC with 89% efficiency and a short circuit output current rated at 25A. Its tool-free screw terminal design ensures fast, professional installation with no special tools required.
With an operating range of -20°C to +55°C and humidity tolerance up to 95% non-condensing, this converter is built to perform reliably across the most demanding real-world environments. IP43 protection is achieved when the unit is installed with screw terminals oriented downward.
