The Victron Energy Blue Smart IP65 12/10 is a Bluetooth-enabled, IP65-rated smart battery charger delivering 10A of charge current from a 120V AC input, with a seven-step adaptive charge algorithm, Li-ion compatibility, and fully silent fanless operation for 12V battery systems.
Key Features:
- IP65 Water, Dust & Chemical Resistant — Fully sealed enclosure rated IP65 protects against dust ingress, splash water, and chemical exposure, making it suitable for demanding marine, automotive, and outdoor installations.
- Seven-Step Smart Charge Algorithm — Automatically cycles through charge, test, bulk, absorption, float, storage, and optional recondition stages to maximize battery life and recovery of fully discharged batteries down to 0V.
- Bluetooth Smart Configuration — Full setup, monitoring, and configuration of charge voltage, current, and battery type via the VictronConnect app on any Apple or Android device, with live voltage and current readout.
- Li-Ion Battery Mode — Dedicated LiFePO₄ charging algorithm with automatic Li-ion under voltage protection reset for safe and efficient lithium battery charging.
- Temperature Compensated Charging — Measures ambient temperature during the test phase and automatically adjusts charge voltage throughout the cycle, eliminating the need for manual seasonal adjustments.
The Blue Smart IP65 12/10 charges at 10A continuous (3A in low current mode for smaller batteries) with up to 94% efficiency — generating up to four times less heat than industry-standard chargers — and reduces to just 0.5W standby power once the battery is fully charged. The storage mode actively reduces charge voltage after 48 hours to minimize positive plate corrosion during long-term connection.
A recovery function allows the charger to recognize and recharge batteries discharged to 0V by applying low current until sufficient terminal voltage develops before resuming normal charging. The 1.8m AC cable with US NEMA 1-15 plug and 1.5m battery cable with M8 eyelets are included, with optional clamps, fused clamps, fused M6/M8 eyelets, autoplug, battery indicator panel, wall mount, carry case, and rubber bumper available separately.
