Its open-center design leaves the area beneath the vehicle clear, so brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and general undercar work stay within easy reach instead of being blocked by a crossbar or center frame.
Two features set this model apart from a standard mid-rise: it is extra-wide to support a broader footprint of vehicles, and it is extra-tall, reaching a maximum platform height of 47 1/4". That added rise lets a technician work seated or standing with real clearance rather than crouching at knee height. Nine mechanical lock positions hold the platforms securely from 18 3/4" up to 45 1/2", and an electric safety lock release drops all locks together at the press of a button.
Because it rides on an included mobile kit, the MS9000XT rolls between bays or out of the way when the floor is needed for something else. A dual-cylinder structure with anti-surge valves keeps the two runways level under load, and a built-in 24V low-voltage control system runs the raise, lower, and lock-release functions.
Like any vehicle lift, the MS9000XT must operate on a sound concrete floor. The manufacturer specifies a minimum of 6 inches of reinforced concrete rated for 3,000 PSI and cured at least 28 days. What concrete does the lift require?
The manufacturer specifies a minimum of 6 inches of reinforced concrete rated for 3,000 PSI and cured at least 28 days before installation.
What electrical service does it need?
The 3 HP motor runs on 110V or 220V single-phase, 60 Hz power. A 30A breaker is recommended for a 220V supply (20A for 110V). The lift does not ship with a power plug — a 220–250V, 30A plug is required. The power cord reaches about 11 feet.
Can I adjust the lowering speed?
Yes. The hydraulic oil-flow valve controls speed — turning it clockwise slows the lift, and counter-clockwise speeds it up.
How do I lower the lift if it is stuck in the air?
Release the mechanical safety locks, then release the pressure in the hydraulic system, as described in the manual.
Does it need anything before the first lift?
Yes. The manual directs you to raise the lift to its highest point and lower it fully two to three times without a load to bleed air from the hydraulic hoses and cylinders before lifting a vehicle.
