The Cobra Signature Olympic Shoulder Press is as functional and durable as it is large and heavy, and it is very large (74 x 55 x 53) and very heavy (607 lbs). Made with 7-gauge steel and half-inch bolts, its unparalleled durability and powerhouse aesthetic elevate the intensity of any gym.

Thanks to UHMW-bolstered nylon-roller j-hooks in front of and behind the user, the barbell can be racked afore and aft, but if, for some reason, you are unable to return the barbell to your spotter, you can simply rotate the weight forward and safely secure it on the j-hooks front of you. In the event that you are unable to rack the weight, the Cobra’s sling bridges (sometimes called safety straps) are suspended in pairs from the two foremost uprights to prevent the barbell from falling onto the user’s legs. These are Bolt’s own proprietary safety straps and are more than up to the task of protecting you from weights as high as 900 lbs. 

As of August 1st, 2023, the heaviest seated overhead press ever recorded belongs to Larry Wheels at 515 pounds. The Cobra has a capacity well over 2,000 pounds and is--with its stability and safety features--absolutely the platform where you could break that record. 

Then, there are the aesthetic considerations. The numbered chambers on the uprights are laser-etched, as are the BOLT insignias and triquetra designs on the bench and support beams. Every surface, besides the upholstery (which can also be embroidered with custom designs at an added cost), is coated with matte-black powder paint to give the Cobra added durability and a stark gravity in any given room.
