Color: Older ones are a gold color where the current version is more green. Green is a direct replacement for the gold. 

Non handed - See how to video below. the mortise is reversible for your door handing and also has a interior plastic release. To reverse the lock direction - remove the side plastic covers and swamping the internal cams - side to side. The lock bolt can also be reversed by extend the bolt and slide off the bolt base.

This center mortise lock rotates 50 degrees to retract the bolt. The mortise lock works with all handle sets designed for this lock system [1993-2002].

Replacement handle bushing kit [SKU 56-115] and Auxiliary Lock module springs are recommended parts when replacing the center lock mortise.

DO NOT TAKE APART THE MORTISE LOCK BOX OR REMOVE ANY SCREWS- THERE ARE NO REPLACEABLE PARTS INSIDE THIS LOCK BOX. ANY ALTERATION OR DISASSEMBLY OF THIS LOCK WILL VOID ANY RETURN POLICY. ALL MORTISE LOCKS ARE CHECKED FOR FUNCTION PRIOR TO SHIPMENT.
