High-performance 120gsm Type HR roofing underlay designed to provide a robust secondary barrier beneath pitched slate and tile systems. Fully waterproof and air-tight, Wunderlay delivers protection against wind-driven rain and snow while resisting wind uplift pressures. It is the recommended choice for all Tapco Roofing products, including TapcoSlate Classic.

Manufactured from a durable twin-ply polypropylene spunbond and LDPE/PP film, Wunderlay combines high tensile strength with excellent nail tear resistance for secure fixing. The absorbent underside prevents condensate drip-off, while the embossed upper surface minimises glare and allows accurate chalk line marking. Lightweight but highly durable, the easy-to-handle underlay can also serve as a temporary roof covering.

Did you know? Unlike low-resistance (Type LR) underlays, high-resistance (Type HR) underlays are non-permeable and non-breathable, blocking all air and water vapour. They act as a full secondary barrier but require careful roof ventilation.
