The BMPRO ProBoost40 is a rugged 12V 40A DC-DC battery charger with integrated MPPT solar charging, designed for auxiliary battery systems that need faster, higher-output charging while travelling, touring or operating off-grid.
Using vehicle and solar inputs, the ProBoost40 intelligently manages available charging power to deliver up to 40A to a secondary battery. It supports lead-acid and LiFePO4 lithium batteries, making it well suited to 4WDs, caravans, campers and touring setups with larger battery systems and higher power demands.
With up to 95% efficiency and an ultra-thin, high-power-density design, the ProBoost40 delivers serious charging capability without requiring excessive installation space.
Engineered and Tested for Extreme Conditions
The ProBoost platform has undergone extensive environmental and mechanical validation across independent Australian testing facilities. It has demonstrated sustained operation at 80°C, operated at 95°C for 92 hours, and delivered reliable performance at temperatures down to -40°C.
The ProBoost has also been validated to IEC 60068-2-64 vibration testing and subjected to substantial mechanical shock testing, demonstrating its ability to withstand constant vehicle movement, corrugated roads, rough terrain and demanding automotive environments.

One of the strongest endorsements of the ProBoost platform is its selection for OEM automotive applications. ProBoost has been OEM selected by Ford for the Ranger Super Duty and Mazda for the BT-50, following extensive testing for performance, durability and reliability.
