Inside this tough housing are solid machined steel, helical-cut planetary gears that provide you with smooth transmission of power from the powerful 1 HP motor to the floor. The gears use oversized bearings and seals which will give this machine decades of trouble-free performance. The base is equipped with a 360 degree non-marking, vinyl bumper that will protect wall, furniture, and other surroundings from being scuffed during operation. If you are looking to tackle a larger job, you may want to take a look at our 20" FM Floor Maintainer which offers all the same benefits of this unit with a larger base.

As mentioned before, due to its ruggedness, this machine is perfect for sanding. To make this machine even better for sanding, Pioneer has designed a dust skirt that fits right to the bottom of your floor buffer. Simply attach the skirt to the base and then attach it to your shop vacuum or backpack vacuum. Any dust created during the sanding will then instantly get sucked up and contained, keeping the work area free from dust. Be sure to pick up your pad driver (not included) along with some 17" scrubbing pads or 17" stripping pads for your new machine.
