The Oase Filtral 700 quartz glass protects the UV lamp inside the Filtral's built-in clarifier while transmitting ultraviolet light at the wavelength that kills algae and pathogens. Mineral scale and biofilm gradually cloud the glass, reducing UV effectiveness even when the lamp is still functional.
Clear Glass Equals Clear Water
Replacing the quartz sleeve annually alongside the UV bulb is the most reliable way to maintain algae-free water. A new sleeve restores full UV transmission, ensuring every litre of water passing through the chamber receives the intended germicidal dose.

Installation
Power off and lift the Filtral from the pond. Remove the UV lamp, slide out the old sleeve, clean the seat, and insert the new one. Handle with gloves to prevent fingerprint deposits. Reinstall the lamp, reassemble, and submerge.
