Leak-Proof Gasket for the Filter Drain Valve Assembly
The Oase BioSmart 5000–10000 / Biotec 5.1–10.1 drain valve seal is the rubber gasket that sits between the drain valve and the filter body. When this seal hardens, cracks, or compresses beyond its service life, water weeps from the drain connection even with the valve fully closed. A new seal restores a watertight fit in minutes.
Prevents Slow Leaks
Even a minor drain-valve leak lowers the filter water level over time, reducing biological contact time and potentially exposing the UV clarifier to air. The replacement seal is moulded from the same elastomer as the original, sized to compress exactly into the valve seat without trimming or stretching.

Installation
Shut off the pump and drain any remaining water from the filter. Remove the drain valve, peel off the old seal, and press the new one into the groove. Reinstall the valve hand-tight, restore water flow, and check for drips. Inspect this seal at the start of every season as part of your spring maintenance routine.
