This packet of three replacement Marina Bio-Carb Cartridges are designed specifically for all three models of Slim Skim Filters. Each cartridge contains both activated carbon and ceramitek, designed to ensure a healthy water conditions for your fish.

Activated carbon provides chemical filtration, removing odours from your fish tank's water and keeping it crystal clear. If you notice your aquarium water turning yellow over time, it is time to replace the cartridge as they become exhausted over time.

Ceramitek is a highly porous ceramic biolofical filter media, which provides a habitat upon which beneficial bacteria can grow. These bacteria are fundamentally important to your fish tank, helping to break down waste products.

Marina Bio-Carb Cartridges are designed to be be replaced every two weeks - please note however that you should not replace more than one cartridge at a time to ensure you keep sufficient levels of beneficial bacteria remain in your filter.
