Primer & Sealer for Porous or Weathered Masonry

Kingfisher Weatherflex Stabilising Solution is a solvent-free, fine-particle, pure acrylic ester copolymer primer, sealer, and stabiliser for masonry surfaces. It is specifically formulated to harden friable or chalking substrates, ensuring a stable base for subsequent coatings. This solution enhances adhesion, improves the depth of colour finish, and often reduces the amount of paint required.

Product Details

• Colour: Clear upon drying.
• Pack Size: 5 litres.
• Cure Time: Allow surfaces to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before applying masonry paint.
• Coverage: 4–6 m² per litre, depending on surface porosity.
• Application Temperature: Do not apply if air or surface temperature is below 8 °C.
• Shelf Life: 12 months in unopened, sealed containers stored in a cool, dry area away from frost and direct sunlight.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose or friable materials. Remove any biological growth with Kingfisher Bio-Wash.
2. Application: Apply the solution evenly using a brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer. One coat is typically sufficient, but very porous surfaces may require an additional application.
3. Drying Time: Allow 4–8 hours for each coat to fully dry, depending on ambient temperature.
4. Topcoat Application: For best results, allow surfaces to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before applying Kingfisher Weatherflex Smooth Masonry Paint.

Safety & Storage

• Protective Measures: Wear gloves and overalls during application. If applying by spray, wear a face mask.
• First Aid: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, wash immediately with plenty of water.
• Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry area away from frost and direct sunlight.
• Disposal: Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.
