EXPEDITION Plus Ultra Deep Cycle GEL 12 V 160 Ah Battery (EXP12‑160C)
The 160 Ah Expedition Plus battery uses the same lead‑carbon GEL technology as the 110 Ah model but offers higher capacity for applications requiring longer autonomy. It has a nominal capacity of 160 Ah and a 5‑year warranty. The battery is fully sealed and maintenance‑free, designed for leisure and renewable energy systems.
Lead‑carbon GEL batteries combine the benefits of lead‑acid and super‑capacitors. Activated carbon and graphene are added to the negative plate to improve the rapid charge and discharge characteristics and extend the cycle life to more than 1 500 cycles at 50 % depth of discharge. This design also reduces crystallisation within the cells.
