The Expedition Plus 110 Ah battery is a lead‑carbon GEL deep‑cycle battery designed for tough leisure and off‑grid duty. It combines traditional lead‑acid construction with functional activated carbon and graphene in the negative plate to increase cycle life and allow quick charging. This DC‑C series battery can achieve a life of 1 500 cycles or more at 50 % depth of discharge, offering a long service life for campervans, marine craft and renewable systems.
Scientists discovered that adding carbon to the GEL chemistry reduces crystallisation and improves rechargeability. Because of this technology, the battery can re‑charge between four and ten times faster than a conventional lead‑acid battery.
