Safety Vent and Ingress Protection

The Apex enclosure includes a safety vent connection that accepts 10mm OD PTFE tubing, with a maximum tube length of 1m to outside. Route the tube below the height of the battery and prevent water from entering it. The enclosure is rated IP20 when the safety vent is disconnected. It is rated IP54 when the safety vent tubing is correctly installed and all port covers or suitable connectors are securely fitted. Allow at least 10mm clearance on all sides and 100mm above the battery.
