Integrated refrigerated air dryer

The matched refrigerated dryer is rated for up to 58 CFM and chills the compressed air to condense out moisture before it travels downstream. A condenser cooling fan circulates ambient air across the dryer coil to shed the heat it pulls from the air stream, protecting tools, lines, and finishes from water carryover.

Swing-arm dryer mount

The dryer is mounted on a swing arm that hinges away from the compressor cabinet, opening up room around the unit for routine service and component access without disconnecting the dryer.

Dual-timer electric auto drain

An electric dual-timer auto drain expels water from the receiver tank on its own. Both the interval between drain cycles (adjustable from 1 to 45 minutes) and how long the drain stays open are adjustable, and an inline air muffler quiets the discharge.

EMAX covers the compressor and the dryer separately.

Rotary screw compressor

The compressor carries a 1-year standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, covering the rotary screw pump and all components including the electric motor, with one year of warranty labor from an authorized technician. EMAX ships replacement parts with ground freight covered for the first 180 days.

Two upgrades are available by enrolling in EMAX's SMART OIL maintenance program: an Extended Warranty that raises coverage to 10 years on the rotary screw pump, 5 years on the single-phase motor, and 5 years on most other components; and a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the rotary screw pump (not prorated, no hour limit) through the SMART OIL auto-ship program. Both upgrades require using EMAX SMART OIL and filters on the published maintenance schedule.

Refrigerated dryer

The dryer carries a 1-year standard warranty on materials, workmanship, and parts, with one year of warranty labor, and can be extended to 3 years by registering and purchasing one Airbase dryer filter replacement kit per year along with the required routine maintenance.

FAQ

What electrical service does it need?

It runs on 230V single-phase power and draws 38.3 full-load amps at a 1.15 service factor. EMAX recommends a 55-amp breaker. Because it is single-phase, you do not need three-phase service in the shop.

How does it remove moisture from the air?

Two ways. The integrated refrigerated dryer (rated to 58 CFM) condenses moisture out of the compressed air before it reaches your tools, and the dual-timer electric auto drain expels condensate from the tank automatically so water does not collect between uses.

Can it run continuously?

Yes. The oil-injected rotary screw air end is engineered for up to 100% duty cycle and is rated for an estimated 60,000 hours of service life, so it is built for shops that keep air flowing through the workday.

What maintenance and oil does it use?

The pump holds 1.33 gallons of oil. Each unit ships with factory break-in oil and filters that are changed at 600 hours; after that, EMAX calls for oil and filter changes annually or every 4,000 hours, whichever comes first. Staying on EMAX's SMART OIL program with genuine oil and filters is what qualifies the compressor for the extended and limited-lifetime warranty tiers.

How does it ship?
