With the Dyaco Medical Physical Therapy Recumbent Stepper 4.0S you can offer your patient an upper body workout only, lower body only or a total body exercise, all from the semi-recumbent position, helping minimise impact on muscles and joints during the rehabilitation process. The Recumbent Stepper 4.0S uses linear resistance. This really helps improve and gain critical strength in the users arms and legs at the same time as improving balance. The handles can be adjusted both forward and backwards, altering the length to fit a variety of users. Handle position is easily secured for legs only, arms only or total body workout. The step depth ranges from 2.54 -31.75 cm’s, providing a short step or a far reaching long step. Step range of depth is equal and reciprocal from one foot to the other. Clinicians can choose their patients a target heart rate programme at the touch of a button. However the Dyaco PT Range also provides a MET’s programme for physical exercise based on a medically prescribed METs programme. The programmes will automatically adjust the workload to ensure the patient is consistently working at their preset METs value. This eliminates the need for constant manual adjustment to maintain the prescribe MET level which is the case on machines that only have a MET display. The result is a much more enjoyable rehabilitation programme and better patient outcomes.
