For the "mouse-ears" type cut-outs, it is advised to retain the steel pins for optimal safety and compatibility with CRL "mouse-ears" cut-outs. Conversely, for enhanced adjustability, the removal of the steel pins allows the Vienna Hinge to seamlessly fit its own CRL rectangular-shaped, square-cornered cut-out, as well as some competitive rectangular-shaped, square-cornered cut-outs.
