MDF Spoilboard with Scale for 3018

Precautions

• Make sure the MDF spoilboard is secured well to the machine bed.
• Make sure the CNC material is clamped tight to the MDF spoilboard / machine bed, or you will get vibration, chatter, poor cut finish, and can possibly break your cutting bit.
• Do not use any lubricant when you use an MDF spoilboard. It will swell and expand if it gets wet. So using spray or mist coolant or oils is not recommended.

Compact Hole Distribution

Compared with the original MDF spoilboard, the hole distribution on this upgraded spoilboard is more compact. This makes it easier to fix various sizes of material and hold down clamps.

Scale Grid Design

A scale grid in centimeters is pre-printed on the spoilboard which makes the fixed position of the engraving material clear and accurate.

This spoilboard is greatly compatible with 3018 series router machines, including Genmitsu 3018-PRO, 3018-PROVer, 3018-PROVer Mach3.

Installation Guide

1. Place the 6 pieces of M5 slider nuts into the recess of the aluminum plate, and then place the MDF spoilboard on top of the aluminum plate.
2. Adjust the M5 slider nuts position so that the center of the slider nut hole and the center of the corresponding countersunk hole on the MDF spoilboard are concentric.
3. Thread 6 pieces of M5*16 screws into the countersunk holes of the MDF spoilboard and screw the corresponding slider nuts for 3-4 turns.
4. Align the MDF spoilboard with the aluminum plate all around, then tighten all the M5*16 screws.
5. Once you have done so, try lifting your spoilboard at each corner to make sure that all T slot nuts have properly anchored to the bed. The spoilboard has been successfully installed, now you can enjoy making everthing!
