Description

CEMB DWA3500WG 3D HD Wheel Alignment System

The DWA3500WG is the heavy-duty build of CEMB's 3D alignment platform, and the two letters on the end of the model number are the whole point. WG stands for wheel grabbers: instead of a jaw that hooks the lip of the rim, each of the four heads makes contact at three points on the tire itself. The rim is never touched. A polished aluminium wheel, a coated truck wheel or a customer's expensive aftermarket set leaves the bay in exactly the condition it arrived in.

That one design decision is what separates this machine from the standard build of the same aligner, and it is aimed squarely at shops that align vehicles they cannot afford to mark — dealerships handling new inventory, heavy-duty floors running dually wheels, and collision shops where the alignment is the last operation before a car goes back to a customer who has already had a bad month.

Why a Tire-Contact Clamp Changes the Job

A rim clamp is quick and it works, but it puts a steel jaw against a finished surface and then asks the technician to be careful about it every single time. Across a few thousand alignments, “be careful” is not a control. A three-point grabber removes the exposure instead of managing it: no metal touches the rim at any stage, so there is nothing to scuff and no argument at collection about whether the mark was already there.

It also settles the awkward cases faster. Deep concave faces, tight spoke openings and protruding centre caps are precisely the wheels a rim clamp fights with, and they are increasingly what rolls through the door. A grabber sits on the tire, so the rim design stops being part of the setup at all.

The Camera Beam Follows the Lift

The 3D camera support beam on this system is motorised and fully automated: it tracks the height of the lift so the cameras keep a clean line to the targets as the vehicle goes up and comes back down. On a hand-cranked beam the technician either works at one fixed lift height for every job or climbs back down to re-aim, and both of those cost minutes on every single alignment.

That also makes the machine workable over more than one style of lift. Put the vehicle where the suspension work is comfortable rather than where the cameras happen to be pointed, and the beam finds the targets. Its position was chosen to keep the space around the vehicle open, which matters in a bay that still has to do ordinary repair work on the days nothing is booked for alignment.

It Measures the Vehicle, Not Just the Angles

Because the system reads its targets in three dimensions, it captures more than toe, camber and caster. It reads wheel diameters, which is how it flags a tire running soft before somebody spends an hour chasing a pull that was never an alignment fault. It also reads track, wheelbase and the diagonals across the vehicle, and those three together tell you whether the structure itself has moved — the difference between a car that can be aligned today and a car that needs to go back onto a bench first.

The software was written by the manufacturer rather than licensed in, and it walks the operator through the sequence in graphics rather than columns of figures. Vehicle selection runs through a model ranking system that surfaces what you actually see in your market first, and the database is maintained on an ongoing basis.

Power, Space and Siting

The DWA3500WG runs on 110 VAC, 50/60 Hz, single-phase power. That is an ordinary shop wall circuit, not a three-phase drop, which is one of the reasons this system lands in independent shops as well as dealer groups. The alignment system itself has no compressed-air requirement.

What it does need is sight lines and floor. The camera beam has to see all four targets through the full working height of the lift, so lay the bay out with nothing that will park or be stacked between the beam and the vehicle. The system ships at 685 lbs (310 kg), and that figure governs how it comes off the truck and how you move it once it is on the floor. Confirming your bay layout, the lift the system will work over, and an available outlet is the buyer's responsibility — tell us what you have and we will check it through with you before you order rather than after.

Perfect For

  • Dealership service departments where a scuffed rim on new or certified inventory turns straight into a reconditioning cost.
  • Heavy-duty and fleet shops running light commercial vehicles and dually wheels that a standard rim clamp handles badly.
  • Collision shops that need track, wheelbase and diagonal measurements to prove a repair, not just a toe-and-camber printout.
  • High-volume independents adding alignment as a profit centre and wanting the setup and training handled as part of the purchase.

What's in the Box

Set-up of the alignment system and on-site training on its operation are both included — worth reading twice, because at this level those are usually separate line items. The standard accessories supplied are the HD targets, a mobile trolley (part 46DW026402), the monitor, a brake pedal depressor (part 74A010479) and a steering wheel holder (part 74A010478). The system is specified with wheel grabbers, an automatic camera boom, the 3D automatic gauge, the redesigned cabinet with drawers and housings for the printer and accessories, and heavy-duty drive-on assist.

One Figure to Confirm Before You Order

Our data for this product states the screen size twice and does not agree with itself. The manufacturer's overview says the system includes a 24″ LED monitor; the feature list and the standard-accessory list both specify a 32″ screen. We have not picked the one that reads better, and we have not quietly dropped either. Ask us and we will confirm what ships with the current build before you commit.

Certification, Stated Plainly

The data we hold for this machine — the manufacturer's overview, its feature list and its specification table — does not state a third-party safety listing or an independent conformity assessment, and we are not going to imply one that the paperwork does not support. That is not a claim the machine is unsafe. It is a statement about what the documentation we can actually see says.

It matters because some buyers have to document it. Insurers writing a shop policy, fleet and municipal purchasing departments and some local authorities want evidence that equipment was assessed by an independent body rather than declared conforming by the company that built it. If that is your situation, tell us what your inspector asks for before you order and we will put the request to the manufacturer in writing.

Shipping and Delivery

This system ships by freight to the lower 48. This item ships free, so there is nothing to add at checkout.

Decide before you order how the crate is coming off the truck. The driver brings the shipment to you; unloading it is the receiver's responsibility. Most shops take a machine of this weight off with a forklift. If you do not have one, choose terminal pickup instead and collect it with suitable equipment. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee, which is calculated at checkout when you select it.

Whichever you choose, inspect the crate before you sign anything. Walk the pallet, photograph crushed corners, punctures or a shifted load, and write the damage onto the bill of lading in words. A clean signature is a statement that the shipment arrived intact, and a concealed-damage claim is far harder to win afterwards. Call, text or chat with us if something looks wrong and we will open the claim alongside you.

Warranty

This system carries the manufacturer's warranty. We have deliberately not restated its term or its covered components in this description, because the warranty document supplied with the machine is the governing text and it is the one any claim is settled against. Ask us and we will send you the current document before you order.

One practical warning that applies to every machine we sell: do not take a suspect component apart before a claim is open. Manufacturers routinely decline warranty on assemblies that have already been disassembled, because a stripped part can no longer be inspected for the cause of the failure. Photograph the fault, write down what the machine was doing when it happened, and call us first.
