Description

A Pair of These Covers a 50,000 lb Vehicle — the Reason This Model Exists

The BendPak RBJ25000 is the highest-capacity rolling bridge jack in BendPak's range at 25,000 lbs, and the number to think about is not that one. It is what two of them do together: a matched pair covers a vehicle up to 50,000 lbs. That is the arithmetic that makes this jack the wheel-service partner to the 40,000-lb capacity HDS-40 four-post truck lift — if the lift can hold the vehicle, a pair of these can get its wheels off the runway.

The over-engineering is deliberate and it is aimed at a specific failure mode. Heavy-duty trucks and buses carry their mass unevenly, and an axle on a loaded chassis routinely exceeds half the total vehicle weight. A jack rated at exactly half is a jack that works until the day the load is biased. Rated at 25,000 lbs, this one has margin for the biased case rather than for the brochure.

Will It Fit? — And What It Needs

The lift. BendPak specifies the RBJ25000 for the HDS-40 Series four-post lift. Bridge jacks are matched to runway spacing rather than chosen freely, so confirm your exact lift model before ordering — we will check it with you.

Drive-over height decides whether the jack rolls under a vehicle already parked on the lift, and it depends on the pads fitted: 9" with short arm pads, 9.75" with short top pads, 10.5" with tall arm pads, and 11.25" with tall top pads. Specify against the lowest vehicle you service — a jack that will not fit under the chassis is a jack you cannot use that day.

Reach. Arm pad reach adjusts between 48.5" and 63.75"; top pad reach between 8" and 39.5". On commercial chassis the usable lift points are wherever the manufacturer put them, and that adjustment range is what lets you meet them.

Power: none. There is no electrical requirement at all. A pneumatic-hydraulic power unit drives the jack from shop air at 125 PSI, drawing up to 25 CFM. That is a genuine convenience in a heavy-duty bay — no circuit to run to the middle of a lift, no cable in the working area — but it does put the load on your compressor. A shop already short of air at 125 PSI should size that up before the jack lands.

Your responsibility. Verifying lift compatibility, your vehicles' real axle weights and your air supply is the buyer's job, and it is worth doing before purchase rather than after.

Two Jacks, Two Airlines, One Kit

The way this jack is used in practice is in pairs — one at each end of the vehicle, or two under one axle group. Each jack has its own airline, and BendPak's optional airline kit connects them so a single supply feeds both. That is not just tidiness: a shared, properly plumbed supply is what keeps both jacks behaving the same way under a heavy load, and it removes the trip hazard of a second hose crossing the bay.

The foot pedal is air-powered, so raising the jack is a few pushes rather than a pumping session, and both hands stay free. Maximum operating hydraulic pressure is 7,200 PSI, and that is the number that lets a jack this physically low raise 25,000 lbs — force is pressure times cylinder area, so working at high pressure buys capacity without a cylinder too large to fit under a truck. The corollary is that the hydraulics are working hard: use the specified fluid and do not let service slide.

Steel Pads and Three Lock Positions

Four steel contact pads carry the load at the axle and the vehicle's lift points. At 25,000 lbs a softer pad material would deform under load, and a pad that deforms is a pad that can shift — steel is the correct choice here rather than a cost decision. Despite the capacity the assembly stays low-profile, so it still fits under low-stance vehicles.

Three lock positions give you a choice of working height. The higher you lock the jack, the more undercarriage clearance you get above the four-post runways, and every lock position is engineered to the same standard rather than the top one being the "real" one. In a heavy-duty bay where a technician may be under a vehicle for an hour, being able to set the height to the job rather than the equipment is the difference between a comfortable shift and a sore one.

Perfect For

  • Commercial fleet shops servicing the heaviest vehicles their four-post lift will take.
  • Bus and coach maintenance, where axle loads are high and unevenly distributed by design.
  • Truck dealerships and municipal garages running a HDS-40 Series lift and needing full wheel-service capability on it.
  • Operations buying in pairs. This is the model where the two-jack figure, not the single-jack figure, is the specification that matters.
  • Bays with no spare electrical capacity — air only.

What's in the Box

The jack ships with the rolling bridge assembly, four steel contact pads, the pneumatic-hydraulic power unit and the air-powered foot pedal control. The air-line kit that joins two jacks to one supply is an optional accessory and does not come with the jack. If you are buying a pair — which is how this model is normally deployed — add the kit to the same order rather than discovering it missing on installation day.

Before you order

Tell us the exact model of the four-post lift you intend to use this jack on. The specification sheet lists the HDS-40 Series, and a bridge jack that does not match your runway spacing cannot be made to work — it is a freight return, not an adjustment. One email confirming the lift model avoids the whole problem.

Certification, Stated Plainly

The product data we hold for this jack carries no certification claim, and we would rather say that than write one in. We cannot confirm from this listing's data whether the RBJ25000 holds a third-party lift safety listing.

A third-party lift safety listing is issued by an independent testing body, and it is not the same document as a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. Insurers, fleet safety policies and some local jurisdictions require it specifically for equipment in commercial service. If yours does, get the requirement in writing and contact us — we will confirm the current position with BendPak before you commit.

Shipping and Delivery

Ships by freight to the lower 48 states, free of charge. You must be able to unload the shipment or take pickup at the carrier's terminal — it arrives crated and heavy, so plan for a forklift, a loading dock, or an equipment trailer and enough hands. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee.

Inspect before you sign. Check the crate and its contents while the driver is present and note any damage on the bill of lading before signing. A clean signed BOL makes a freight damage claim very hard to pursue.

Warranty

Covered by BendPak's published warranty, linked on this page. That document governs coverage, term and the claim process, and nothing here restates a term it does not state.

Do not disassemble, modify or attempt a repair before filing a warranty claim. It is the most common reason a valid claim is denied. Stop using the equipment, photograph the fault in place, and contact us first.
