The Atlas Air Force AF9G is a gas-powered, two-stage air compressor built for mobile service trucks and field mechanics who can't depend on shore power. A Honda GX270 9HP electric-start engine drives a 3-cylinder, 2-stage pump into a 30-gallon USA-made horizontal steel tank, delivering 18 CFM at 90 PSI and 14.5 CFM at 175 PSI — enough air to drive large impact wrenches against BUDD wheel lug nuts and other stubborn pneumatic loads in the field.
The AF9G operates between 145 and 175 PSI and ships EPA/CARB emission compliant. Pneumatic throttle control and head unloaders manage cycling under load, vibro-isolator pads steady the unit on a moving truck bed, and a finned tank inlet tube reduces internal moisture accumulation between drain intervals. A heavy-duty metal belt guard covers the drive geometry, and the integrated charging system keeps a service-truck battery topped off while the unit runs.
