The Atlas Air Force AF9-120H is a commercial-grade, 7.5 HP two-stage air compressor built for large multi-bay auto shops and industrial operations that depend on their air supply every business day. A 2-cylinder, 2-stage pump turns at a low 1,750 RPM for quieter, cooler operation, and the 120-gallon horizontal steel tank (made in the USA) extends the duty cycle so the compressor recovers between draws instead of short-cycling under heavy demand.
Working pressure sits at 145–175 PSI, with 23 CFM delivered at 90 PSI and 22 CFM at 175 PSI. An Eaton magnetic starter is built in to control electrical input and extend motor life, paired with an industrial Hubbell pressure switch for cycling control. The AF9-120H requires a dedicated 220V single-phase circuit, 40-amp breaker, and #8 wire.
Maintenance is designed to minimize downtime: a hands-free tank drain extension routes condensation out without crawling under the tank, a compressor oil drain extension tube simplifies routine oil changes, and a finned tank inlet tube cools inlet air so water condenses there rather than pooling inside the tank. A heavy-duty metal belt guard protects the belt drive, and a set of vibro-isolation pads is included to dampen running vibration on the shop floor.
