Description

The Atlas 408SL is an 8,000-lb four-post storage lift built around the same column and runway standards as the commercial Atlas 412 and 414, packaged for hobbyists and collectors who want the heavier construction in a portable footprint. Bundled with the FP8 eight-piece floor panel set, the deck above a parked vehicle becomes continuous storage space — useful for tires, boxed seasonal items, parts, or dedicated overhead storage in a tight garage.

Each column carries two special bends that increase column strength and expand the surface area the slide block travels along. Horizontal cables run hidden inside the cross tubes, and professional-grade wheel covers shield the remaining cable runs and the double-lock safety system. A single-point lock release engages all four locks from one control. The 408SL weighs over 100 lbs more than other hobbyist lifts on the same column-and-runway configuration, with the extra mass concentrated in load-bearing steel.

The included caster kit with polyurethane wheels lets you reposition the lift across the shop floor without dragging or scuffing the surface. Steel approach ramps, a steel jack tray, four plastic drip trays, and wheel stops ship in the box. The power unit can be mounted at any corner of the lift, runs on 110V with a 30-amp breaker (plug not included), and anchor bolts are optional and sold separately.

The FP8 floor panel set is an eight-piece kit — six middle sections plus two end sections — sized at 37.25" wide x 19.5" deep x 4" tall per section, with 400 lb of capacity per section. The panels close the gap between the runways for a flat, continuous storage platform.
