Waterproof Electrical Cord Entry for Pond Equipment

The Atlantic Water Gardens cord seal fitting is a compression-style fitting that creates a watertight seal where an electrical cord passes through a pond liner, basin wall, or waterfall structure. Without a proper cord seal, the entry point for pump cords, lighting cords, and aeration tubing is a potential leak path — water can wick along the cord sheath and escape the pond or, in above-grade features, allow water to contact electrical connections. This fitting eliminates that risk with a mechanical compression seal that clamps around the cord exterior and seals the penetration point completely.

How It Works

The fitting body inserts through a pre-drilled hole in the liner or basin wall. A compression nut draws a rubber gasket down around the cord, compressing it tightly against the cord jacket and the fitting body simultaneously to form a dual seal — one at the cord and one at the liner surface. Tightening the nut with a standard wrench to hand-tight plus 1/4 turn is sufficient for a watertight seal in most liner applications.
