The SLD 5000-9000 adjusts from 5,000 to 9,000 GPH (18,925 to 34,065 LPH) via an electronic controller, allowing precise waterfall flow management and the ability to reduce flow rates seasonally to lower power consumption.

Electronic Flow Control for a High-Volume Pond

The SLD controller maintains the pump at any point between 5,000 and 9,000 GPH without manual head-swapping or bypass valves. During cooler spring and fall months when koi metabolism slows, the flow rate can be reduced to lower turnover and conserve energy. How to Use

Set the initial flow rate at mid-range (approximately 7,000 GPH) and adjust waterfall height and sound by increasing or decreasing the flow setting in small increments until the desired result is achieved. Reduce to minimum flow rate during fall pond shutdown preparation to maintain biological filter activity while lowering energy consumption.
