The Amptron® 12V 15A LiFePO4 charger is the ideal companion charger for smaller 12V lithium battery setups perfectly matched to Amptron's 12V 50Ah and 100Ah batteries. Plugs straight into a standard Australian 240V power point and delivers a clean, LiFePO4-specific charge profile that safely achieves 100% state of charge every time. The built-in BMS wake-up function can revive a deeply discharged battery that has gone into BMS protection mode - something a generic charger simply can't do. Fully protected against over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, and reverse polarity, with automatic recovery once the fault condition is cleared. RCM certified for Australian electrical safety compliance. Compact, lightweight, and ready to use out of the box with M8 ring terminal connections.
Features
BUILT IN PROTECTION SYSTEM
AMPTRON® Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery chargers have a built-in Protection System to prevent damage to the charger from almost any external accidental occurrence that would normally cause damage. The internal Protection System will automatically disconnect to prevent damage to the charger, and will automatically reconnect when the error condition has been resolved.
PROTECTION SYSTEM FEATURES
Over Voltage Protection – When the charger output voltage exceeds the maximum charging voltage, the charger enters a standby state. It will restore to normal working conditions automatically after troubleshooting.
Over Current Protection – When the charger output current exceeds the maximum charging current, the charger enters a standby state. It will restore to normal working conditions automatically after troubleshooting.
Short Circuit Protection – When the charger detects a short circuit at output terminals, the charger enters a short-circuit protection state. It will restore to normal working conditions automatically after troubleshooting.
Reverse Polarity Protection – When the charger detects that the polarity at the output terminals are reversed, the charger enters a reverse polarity protection state. It will restore to normal working conditions automatically after troubleshooting. This Protection System is designed to last throughout the life of the charger and provide reliable charging for thousands of cycles.
BATTERY WAKE UP FUNCTION
The wake up feature can help low voltage / non responsive batteries to be recovered. It is essentially a switching mechanism which momentarily applies the charge voltage at a low current to try and wake the batteries Battery Management System (BMS). Once the battery is deemed responsive the current will ramp up to full current after a period of time.
