Installation & Wiring
This kit is supplied with metal plate connectors specifically designed to link the 12 cells in series. Due to the high weight (~340kg total), please ensure the installation surface is load-rated. For 24V operation, connect the positive of one cell to the negative of the next in sequence. Always use insulated tools.
Questions & Answers
Is this bank better than two 12V 250Ah batteries?
Yes. Using 2V cells allows for much thicker internal plates and more uniform charging across the bank, which typically results in a 2-3x longer lifespan compared to standard 12V batteries in deep-cycle applications.
How do I know if it is compatible with my inverter?
This bank is compatible with any 24V inverter (Victron, Mastervolt, Growatt, etc.). Simply ensure your inverter supports AGM charging profiles with a bulk voltage of approx 28.2V.
Does it come with the connecting plates?
Yes, the AGM500AH-12SET includes a full set of heavy-duty metal plate connectors and terminal bolts for immediate assembly.
